The invention provides a heart monitoring system comprising a heart monitoring device having a detection instrument having two or more electrodes for collecting an electrocardiogram signal from a user, and a processing unit having a system-on-chip, with a processor and a field-programmable gate array integrated therein at least configured to provide hardware acceleration and may include a hardware security module, running a program for generating an electrocardiogram; a network server for managing the operation of the heart monitoring system and storing the electrocardiogram and arrhythmia classification result; and a user communication device that allows the user to communicate with the heart monitoring device and the network server. The program further classifies the electrocardiogram to produce an arrhythmia classification result using a classification framework having at least one stage, and the hardware security module applies cryptography on the electrocardiogram and its corresponding classification result.
