This invention relates to a method to produce recyclable beads for wastewater treatment. More particularly, the present invention relates to recyclable beads which is seaweed based in stable gel spherical form to absorb pollutants from wastewater such as matured leachates. A method for producing recyclable gel beads comprising the steps of extracting a gel from Gracilaria Changii seaweed by boiling dried fronds of the seaweed in water to form a gel solution and dripping the gel solution into cold vegetable oil to form beads.
